Dave Grohl falls off stage, severs arm, finishes show anyway
INGLEWOOD, CA – The Foo Fighters frontman had a devastating fall from the stage that ripped his left arm clean-off on Tuesday night during a sold-out concert in Los Angeles.
“It was during my awesome bass solo, he probably fainted from the sweet riff I was playing,” says the former Jane’s Addiction band member who performed a song with the band. “The song ended but I just kept rocking. Your readers can’t hear text, so I’ll sound it out. Da-dum-bee-da-durr—”
“Things get wild on night two of a double header” says the dismembered singer. “The fall didn’t really hurt because my body went into shock. I told the crowd ‘You have my promise, right now, that the Foo Fighters, we’re going to come back and finish this show,’ so that’s exactly what I did. It’s going to take a lot more than the loss of my left arm to prevent me from playing guitar to these people. It’s how we Valley Girls roll.”
